Less than two weeks to November 5th, election day, and polls are nearly dead even. If you’re undecided, flip a coin, toss cards into a hat with the winner taking two of three, or use a crystal ball and gaze for affirmation. You could receive counsel from Lee Greenwood (the Trumpian Bible made in China) or listen to Emime. One could read tea leaves, listen to the wind, or study astrological skies. We could roll dice, cast lots, pray, analyze ancient scripture, or beg karma for wisdom. However, God left it to us, and why it’s this close is beyond me.
My Interstellar Post (June 2021) reminded readers of Stephen Hawking’s warning that humanity must venture outward to space to survive. However, should the ship complete its mission to Proxima Centauri [the closest potential exoplanet to Earth]? However, all forms of human life ceased. In the end, everyone died because humanity killed humanity.
And in the era of Make America Hate Again, humanity is responsible for the eventual destruction of humanity. David Brooks noted we’ve become a culture devoid of moral education. We have no compass, and generations are growing up in a morally inarticulate, self-referential world. Hate crimes have dramatically risen, and social trust is fraying and decaying. The weaponry of war is in, while each mass shooting produces a collective. “Oh well.”
Danica Patrick stated, “It feels like voting for Donald Trump is like the vote of reason. It’s like the rational, reasonable choice.” Really? Seriously, this is the man who’s not paid contractors, gone bankrupt several times, was found liable in civil court for sexual assault, and propagated a false election narrative with no evidence. This man is the reasonable, rational choice?
You might have a point if one compares Biden, who some claim ‘could not find a coherent sentence with two hands and a flashlight’ (from ‘The American President’). However, Biden is out. It’s Harris versus Trump.
Katie Couric noted that Hispanic voters have steadily shifted in his direction in recent years, and young Black Americans are now considered swing voters. Gen Z Americans, particularly young men, are increasingly keen on the former president. Looking more deeply, here’s the issue: faith in the power centers of society has cratered, with less than a quarter of Americans — and falling — having faith in the media, government, the judicial system, and other elite bodies. Thus, in the eyes of many, Trump is hated by all the right people. However, Trump and his Project 2025 is not a winner.
Although Trump has denied any connection to Project 2025, the sweeping Heritage Foundation’s proposal to gut the federal workforce and dismantle federal agencies aligns closely with his vision. Project 2025’s architects are from the ranks of Trump’s administration. Additionally, Heritage officials have briefed Trump’s team about it. Project 2025 is a policy blueprint for Trump’s administration. The blueprint also has a database of 20,000 job-seekers who could staff a Trump White House and administration. Lastly, a still unreleased “180-day playbook” details actions President Trump could employ on Day One.
Project 2025 will not Make America Great Again. Instead, it’s likely to create more animosity, despair, death, and hatred. If implemented, Trump will no longer appear as a reasonable, rational choice. Then again, once in, fascists don’t care what you think.

My belief is that we are in the 4th Turning and, no matter which of the candidates win, society will continue to experience agitation and unrest until this crisis cycle concludes, estimated to be around 2028. Then the new saeculum begins with the 1st Turning and a period of societal rebirth and change.
If unfamiliar, I am referring to Generational Theory.
On a side note, I am glad you are posting again.
Hey Ann: Thank you for the note. I started posting because I had two dreams of ‘storm is coming.’ Yeah, I am sick and fatigued, but I became so frustrated by lost opportunites to gain meaningful information candidates. So, I woke up one night and started writing questions we (U.S. citizens) should have the right to get answers.
So, the fourth Turning. If I recollect, it is a period of intense societal upheaval, often marked by economic hardship, war, or revolution, which forces society to rebuild and establish new norms and institutions. Examples of past Fourth Turnings in American history include the Great Depression and World War II, the Civil War, and the American Revolution.
And you know, you could be right.
